Courtyard by Marriott Edgewater NYC Area

The Edgewater Courtyard is a great place to stay near our daughter’s home. It’s just steps from the 158 NJ Transit line to the Port Authority in NYC, which makes getting into the city very convenient. The rooms are clean and noticeably larger than most New York City hotel rooms. We did run into a couple of minor issues—the mobile key worked for the room but not the elevator, since the elevator isn’t equipped to read mobile keys, so we needed a physical room key. The shower soap also wasn’t refilled, so I ended up purchasing shower gel from a nearby store. Overall, despite these small inconveniences, it was a comfortable stay and I would definitely stay here again next time

Spent the night at this property- it was incredibly clean and the rooms were a great size. Walking distance to a couple shops, the staff was friendly as well. I’ll absolutely consider this property next time I’m in the area!

Good location. Pool was a little gross and cold. No free shuttle to the Edgewater Ferry, which is probably the easiest way to the city. Also no parking at the ferry.

Everything was good, access to NYC was easy & the lady at the front desk provided us bus information to do that. Room spacious, although walls or floor may have been a bit thin since we could hear our upstairs neighbor pretty loudly. Curtain did a good job at blacking the window out. Parking garage was nice & affordable. Reason for one less star is the breakfast. Bad on us for not realizing it wasn’t complimentary but there’s no signage that makes sense. Furthermore on day #1 we were never served a bill & on day #2 a girl rudely plopped a bill down on our table with no greeting or explanation, she was just the Starbucks attendant on her phone when we first walked in. After all this we see one sign about see an attendant for the buffet but again no signage was clear to indicate there would be a charge of $18 per person. If we had known that I wouldn’t have gone in there since I’m gluten free & the options were dismal for those with an allergy. We presume we were charged on day #1 our breakfast bc our room charge is more then the room charge for day #2 in our bill but breakfast is not its own line item. Unsure how they knew we were down for breakfast then either since nobody came over to us on day #1 either. Clarification with the signage would be appreciated, I’d stay here again just wouldn’t eat the breakfast buffet again for that price & the options.

Marriott is my favorite place to stay usually. However, the mattresses there are crap. My back still hurts a day and a half later. For over 250 a night, you should have better comfort/support for your guest. Over all employees and food service was convenient and delicious.

I stayed here for an extended period and the staff was very kind to me, especially Linna! She was always so warm, helpful, and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at home during my stay. What could have been a stressful time ended up feeling easier and welcoming thanks to her. She was always smiling and remembered the little things that made a big difference during my stay. I can’t say enough positive things about her!

I came for a networking finance conference and my flight from Boston was early and the front desk Linna was so gracious and attentive! I am a Bonvoy member and she was able to get my room earlier than expected so grateful

This review is long overdue, but definitely deserved. The hotel was nice, clean, comfortable, and just what we needed for our brief getaway. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Gloria was absolutely wonderful. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and she went above and beyond to make his stay memorable — even surprising him by leaving a thoughtful gift and card in our room while we were out. We were genuinely touched by her kindness, as well as the graciousness of the entire staff. Thank you for a good stay!
